Does this site really search all of the search engines?

And why doesn't every search engine search every site? It doesn't make sense...

I personally love Dogpile.com for finding audio and video clips. I'm almost certain it searches every search engine because I have seen results from Yahoo!, Google, and MSN.

All search engines don't do this simply for quality control.

i believe dogpile is a meta search engine (if thats what its called, tryn to rember 5th grade) that means it searches all other search engines when the others search differently

yeah I like it. I have been using and I have found that it really does get results as it has the same metasearcher of all the search engines.

Doesn't MSN utilize the same "searches" as google. I'm pretty sure I've seen where it says "powered by google.com" somewhere for MSN.

Hi,

Search engines do not display same results. If you searched for cars in google
and MSN you won't find same websites listed. . .

That is what I know 100% for sure. They rank websites differently.

Yeah I like dogpile...
They got a LOT of stuff in the results when you search.
I've been using google so much I forgot about dogpile.
I need to start using it again.

It's kind of interesting when it says what search sites came up with which sites. Makes you wish that there was one with EVERY website on the internet.
