ZONE games going down?

Well, from the looks of these chat logs, people aren't liking the new ZONE games

Looks like they are retiring a bunch of games, and people are really getting pissed off. Here's teh link.

Yeah, half the people are talking about how thousands of people will be leaving and joining other sites. It's pretty funny.

The only game I ever played on MSN was Mechwarrior 3 and thats only because MSN was the host server for it. I stopped playing because a) my computer at the time got all shotty and started playing the game at 2 fps even though the computers specs were more then enough to run the game above 24 fps at any given time. I have back luck with computers. The other day I was talknig to somone playing Diable 2. He was getting 80 fps out of his system and had the same equip as me but I was only running 50 fps with a 65fps in town. oh and B) reason was because I was sick of people with phone modems and modems with standby. People would just use the lag to their advantage. They do it on Halo 2 with Live, its so lame. Totally sucks the fun out of the game, just like Dupers on D2. Chalk that up to poor protection proticals. They even do a crappy job of banning botters. CD keys are pointless, Key gens are easy to make once you have enough keys to determine the combination factors.

Maybe once Ipv6' 128bit code comes out this carnage will stop. IP banning will be much easier since IPs will become static based on the fact there will be something like 3.42^38 Thats 342 with 36 0's after it. A very huge number. Currently most people don't realize that the current IPv4's 32 bit sys would never provide enough IPs for every computer. Thats why there is subnet masks which determine how much of the IP is part of a network and how much of it is a host. But since their aren't enough thats why IPs are forever changing if not a server, cause its first come first serve.

I strayed a little off topic didn't I. O.o I do that, I talk about one thing then string into other things somehow.

Yeah, dupers suck. Ever played Diablo 1? EVERYONE cheats. I am yet to find someone who doesn't have a man-made armor or weapon.

Yeah, They also made a PS1 version. I cheated at D1 for computer, there was no point not too cause everyone else cheated or Pked. So I called myself "The Protector" and looked for legit players then I'd jsut guard the previous floor they were on. If a pker showed up I'd just hit the instant floor kill command as soon as they showed up.

God I hope they don't make D3 an MMO. I have better things to do then shell our 15$ a month to people who can't even stop simple duping.

btw, you guys have all these awareness ribbons but you're missing at least one that I know of.
